THIS IS EROSION ROCK: "Alegrías, is a new album by the American musician Howe Gelb (Giant Sand) with the collaboration of Raimundo Amador. Howe Gelb & A Band of Gypsies sounds like nothing you've heard before. Although he maintains the flavour of sand from the Arizona desert that he has had all these years, both solo and with Giant Sand, his sound acquires new nuances when fused with flamenco beats. On this album, Howe explores a no-man's-land between American roots, southern rock and pure flamenco.
