Wow, Farley's got two girls. Way to go, man!
-
Yeah, it does! I've always thought "Farley" was an Irish name.
Speaking of Irish, do I hear Irish music in this?

Jerry Nelson is a MASTER of voices! Peace.

I can relate. Again, this is another video I haven't seen since the mid 80's and I'm 32. I guess we are all kids at heart huh? I love these classic flashbacks to put a smile on our faces.

Oh man. I have not seen this in thirty years. I love the little jig they do haha.

Thanks for posting this video! I've been looking for this song.
Believe it or not, actually a good message for kids. I'm in my twenties but always seem to remember this advice especially after stressful meetings at work I wonder why.

More fond SS memories.

Nope, it isn't a parody. When I wrote this song, The Deadly Nightshade was on hiatus (for 30 years, actually, till we got back together last year) and I was freelancing as a bass player with many bands. One gig was a one-nighter with an Irish band, on St. Patrick's Day. We played SEVEN hour-long sets... And the next day, this song popped right out! But it was sincere, no parody. Believe me, those jigs were reeling around in my head for weeks.

Is this song a parody of something else?

Its a lovely song! And a really good message for little ones, too.
This is a pretty insighful song for us kids of the 80's and it's strange how it's still so relevant today... we all could have saved a lot of money on therapy if this was playing on a loop most of our lives.
