@dedpxl not all these adapters work. Vantec is the worse adapter. I have one made or sold by cablestogo and it works provided the Hard Disk Drive has no mechanical problems.. I was able to get data off of many hard drives using this type of adapters. First you plug the power cable and turn it on, while the HDD has power connect the data cable interface and then after you go to my computer you will se another fixed HDD.

Simple. You plug BOTH the Data (IDE or SATA) cable and the power supply provided.

Yeah I'm with the other guys, I'm trying to find how to use this thing and all of these videos are completely useless.
I have tried to use this thing and my HDD got corrupted, so it's important to connect it properly I suspect. (what order to connect what, when to have the power on in relation to the pc being on.)
I saw on one site it said these devices only support 80GB+ for the SATA ones.
The one of mine that got corrupted was a 40GB so that might of been why.
Was a diferent brand so who nos
