@Totyi008 The song has been covered a bunch of times by a variety of artists really, Nirvana wasn't even clsoe to the first. Neither were the cows for that matter.
Nirvana played this song before The Cows in all likelyhood, since Cobain worked with Lanegan on The Winding Sheet which contained the same cover and it was released in (I believe) 1989. However, this version predates the version that Nirvana recorded for their unplugged album by almost 2 years.
