This is not a toy for children who are irresponsible and fall asleep after wanking off to internet porn. That's what a computer is for.

that's what a screensaver is for..

@ParanoiaGentlman I wouldn't mope about it too much! I had some very faint image retention from MW3 on my VT30. It was only visible on a dark grey slide, but took about 5 days to shift. Try turning down the contrast in game mode and see if that helps. If you're really worried, perhaps you could avoid using your PS3 for a few days and stick to full-screen content? Good luck!

That's why I don't deal with Plasma's. Burn in is forever, just like the old CRT televisions.

@FingerJamFilms i just barely noticed the other day in the top right corner of my pn51d550 has the clock from the ps3 retained there. in bright colors its noticeable but the retention is faint should i still mope or stick to your claims?

Hi, yeah, don't use your 59 inch TV for a fucking computer monitor.... DERRRRPPPP. And if you are going to do this, use a damn screen saver ffs!

Sorry but the dude who posted this video is clueless when it comes to tv's. First of all what kind of a geek spends all that money to use his fucking pc on it. This is a plasma numb nuts. It is mainly for movie and tv watching & gaming. Not for you to do your book report. Get a fucking monitor for that crap. Image retention happens when a still image is left for hours. 4 hours on the same fucking setting will give you that burn look if you also have your settings high. I have this set no issues

I had the PN58D8000 (last year's model). Never a still image, just over the air programming. Had pixel shift and burn protection maxed out. It burned in 4 months, middle started going purple, then pixel diffusion along the whole top in 6 months. Took me a year of fighting before they finally authorized a replacement. When I took it back to Best Buy, they told me it had devalued because it's last years TV and gave me credit towards a less expensive exchange. Get an LED

Us eyour Pictures file run random pics as your backround and keep icons off the desk top. Then use the screen wipe over and over. This is how i got rid of mine after falling asleep just as you did. I have a panny though so I don't know if this will work for the sammy.

dumbass
EVERY TV BURNS IN IF YOU LEAVE IT UP FOR A LONG TIME> I THINK YOU ARE A RETARD. YOU DID NO RESEARCH IT IS GHOSTING FOOL ALL OF THEM DO IT ASS

@mjstarrett This made me seriously LOL, and once again proves this planet is on its path to an idiocracy. You clearly do not the slightest clue as to what ghosting is or how televisions even work. The proper term would be "Image Retention". And yes all televisions have the ability to have image retention or burn in when talking about long term static images aka weeks, months years on the same image. Not 3 1/2 - 4 hours. So please educate yourself more before making yourself out to be a fool.

thats why i am getting the panasonic vt30 ...sorry buddy but your video helped me a lot to compare between two products:) peace

@ballards02 The VT30 is even worse. I dint make a video about it but my friend did who bought 2 of them for his house and both suffer form some of the worst image retentions i ever saw on a new tv. That was one of the reason i went with the samsung. All in all i wouldnt get a plasma at all. Get an LED and tone the colors down to a more natural look. I should be receiving my new LED TV on wednesday. Im done with plasma for a very long time.
