Hall of Famer Al Moriarty was a lineman his freshman year when the Mustangs went undefeated and was the highest scoring team in the nation. Now the owner of a successful financial services company on the Central Coast, Al attributes much of his success to Cal Poly and the discipline and confidence he learned on the gridiron. In this clip, he shares some of this recollections of that legendary team.
A great believer in giving back, Al and his wife Patty donated $625,000 for a new state-of-the-art, multimedia scoreboard in Spanos Stadium. For the full article, see the Fall magazine at www.calpolynews.calpoly.edu after Sept. 16, 2009.
