A little blues test on my new EBMM "Luke" guitar. I bought this guitar sight unseen and sound unheard. I'm very happy with it.

  • im getting the emg slv/slv/85 set, and doing the 24v mod on them. just for the clean headroom

    what were you using here/volume levels to get your gorgeous sound?

  • @Schpudd - I'm pretty sure the volume and tone were around 8-9 and I was on the bridge and mid pups. The amp was probably about 5 on both pre and post. It's the Tube Screamer that I can't recall the settings, although I believe the Overdrive was around the 10 o'clock position and the Tone and Level were at least 12 o'clock.

  • i like it

    great sound, nice and good guitare

    what the backing track is?

    555555+++++++++

  • Thanks. Unfortunately, I don't remember which backing track I used - it may have been a knock-off of BB King or SRV pulled from the internet.

  • That's pretty good for playing 6 months!

    The second BT sounds a bit familiar. What is that again?

  • Thanks! I guess I'm somewhat obsessed and play every day - drives my wife a little nuts at times.

    The second bit is nothing more than the result of a couple of Captain Morgans : ) laid over an SRV backing track - just something I made up.

  • @RoundTripSpirit I believe the backing track is riviera paradise. Stevie Ray Vaughn.

  • Thanks. The pickups are active in this beast, so I didn't know what to expect when I ran it to my Blues Junior.

    I've been playing a little over six months now. I'm trying to learn both acoustic and electric guitar with this late-start interest of mine. I predict a lot more practice ahead of me in the days to come.

  • The Ernie Ball sounds great, I love the color. How long have you been playing?
