@zmpareja yes i did!! I have heard for years that the film was being made and at one time Julliet Binoche was considering it. That is probably all rumor but it does inspire visions of the book. I think that the book is pure poetry and the beauty of it needs an artful hand and a great cinematographer,I think it deserves it!

I have loved and cherished this book for years and I absolutely HATE this trailer !! The music is awful and the horrid attempt to modernize the story tragic and amatueristic!!

Please don't take it too seriously as an attempt to intentionally "modernize" the book. This was for a tiny english class that made us create trailers for the book in a limited time span & I was only starting to play around with the program used for this. I liked the book too and was not trying to showcase the book as something so stereotypically horrible as you may have gotten out of this "amateur" video. Don't be so mean, I only posted this for the class viewing and not to offend the book.

However, you are correct in hating this video because it relies on how many people these days are quick to "like" trailers only when they showcase certain aspects of a book such as "sex" instead of the deeper meanings that many people unfortunately don't care about much anymore unless they, like you, have made a personal connection to the work as a piece of literature and not as a piece of cheap entertainment.
P.S I'm wondering if you made a new account just to leave a comment =)

@zmpareja I do apologize!! I was unaware of the source of the material and thought that some short sited film company had got their hands on what I consider a great piece of art and cheapened it. It was a knee jerk reaction.
