http://TravelCostaRicaNOW.com Hey Everyone! Finally we re-did our Baldi Hot Springs REVIEW. Baldi Hot Springs is located a couple miles outside of La Fortuna Arenal area and is ONE of the 3 more popular hot springs options in La Fortuna. The other two being Tabacon and Eco Termales. Baldi Hot Springs is big, cheap and probably the BIGGEST BANG for your buck if that's what you're looking for, but it is also fairly touristy and almost seems like it could be located right next to Disneyland. Baldi has like 25 pools in various sizes and temperatures, swim-up bars, water slides, KIDS, dinner buffets, loud music and definitely draws a younger crowd for the most part... and in the past couple years the vegetation has really matured and it's looking MUCH nicer and tropical than it once did. Like I mentioned, we did a video before on Baldi, but we shot it from the back of a golf cart and it was quite a long time ago, this is a MUCH better version. So if you're thinking about checking out the HOT SPRINGS when you're in La Fortuna viewing the Arenal Volcano, you might want to CHECK OUT this video. Hope it helps, ENjoY!

  • went there about 4 years ago... most memorable for the INSANE water slide. Not the straight drop one you see in this video, but the twisty turny one. On my first run I banged my head pretty hard on the last curve, right before you hit the pool. If you deliberately slow yourself down a little, it's great. But its funny seeing first timers at the end, just flying at 100 miles an hour, slamming into the water.

  • @Jhensy2012 yeah,,,the slides are notorious for causing injury...friend broke his collarbone a while back......

  • That should be la fortuna

  • @fosdu it is. About 3 miles from the center of town.

  • I was born in costa rica and live in the us and every year I go to costa rica this spot raises there prices. It pisses me off cuz my cousins that live and work there don't get to go to these places because it's so expensive for them.

  • These guys have a great coffee shop in La Fortunate. I went there on spring break 2 weeks ago. The chocolate covered coffee beans were unreal

  • @LnTsMaymay Thanks for the information. I will be moving down there to live full time in about eleven months, and I'm making it a point to avoid all the Gringo priced attractions, and crowds.

  • @radiohebrew si se escribir en español...soy de mexico...yo fui ahi en el 2009...muy padre me encanto

  • @LnTsMaymay I can tell you,,,,it must have been a bad day or something....the food is usually not that bad. And $23. for the hots springs and a "average" dinner is pretty good overall. You could have at least prefaced your comment with, "not sure if this is how it usually is, but........................"

  • @iCostaRica24 Yes, the hotel's price was too high -- but even if I'd paid just $23, the food STILL wouldn't have met a standard I'd consider "okay." Two rices, one plain, one a kind of fried rice so salty I couldn't have more than a couple of bites. Three meat choices -- soggily deep fried chunks sitting and stewing in their own grease in the steam table, boneless chicken breast too tough to chew, and barbecued pieces of fat and bone. I won't even describe the disgusting desserts.
