  • I am taking care of a Bloodhound for a friend of mine while they are visiting family, and he is very lonely. I try to play with him but he is still a puppy and he jumps up on me and won't stop. He is so strong I can't handle him, all I want to do is play fetch with him, but I feel I am being attacked and I leave, I know he is not trying to harm me but I can't handle him. Does anyone have a technique to stop this jumping?

Most hounds are not much for playing fetch. I would take him on a long walk and try to wear him out that way. Make sure to keep him on a leash though, hounds are not very good at listening when they are off leash, he will smell something interesting and that will be the last you will see of him.
