Yeah I know, but most Rockin American records did not make it to the UK until the 1970's. Most that did make it was the commercial stuff that was covered by many Brit bands. Cliff must have associated with the hard core rockers bringing in rare stuff of the 1950's to have heard this song.
Shaky's recorded version is much better than this! (his live version which can be found on youtube is terrible on the other hand, although entertaining to watch)
