@MLGKLAN you can do lots of things 2 a single cam it really depends on your budget but i would work on some internals hen move up to the head buy better sprigs, crankshaft (idk if i spelled it right), full exhaust with headers, bigger throttle body, and manifold, bigger fuel rail, bigger injectors, bigger fuel pump, intake and the list goes on but u really have 2 be dedicated its gonna take some time but it depends if u wanna go all motor or force intake it with a turbo.

@MLGKLAN well it depends what you got... i have a jdm d15b its built and i still have basically no torque just all high end power... if you wanna make a d15b or d16z6 fast you have to fully build it.. pistons rods valvetrain and you gotta boost it.. plain and simple. b7/y7/y8 arent even worth it. if i were you (and this is what im doing) id buy a b20 and wait to find a gsr or b16 tranny. if you know the right people you can engine+trans for a good 800 beans. drove my friends b20t and fell in lov

@p1n0yBalleR i have a single cam but peeps always tell me to swap it cuz it aint dat good.. ur d first guy ive heard to not underestimate em.. wut should i do to it?

i fell in love the the whole JDM concept, more enphasis on performance than body, but now people are being stupid about it, saying "JDM as fuck" yet drag racing a civic or doing a Spoon Sports theme, and having an intercooler up front. people having all these performance parts, yet never visiting a track. thats why now i say FUCK JDM, if ur gonna spend money on performance parts, USE THEM!!!

@pepene93 Hmm, interesting point. Very well said.

@SpiritDragon148 sure, a SOHC can be tuned too, but a DOHC head will *always* flow better for the same quality of work, and head flow is one of the most important things for power.

@pepene93 Every pound helps, but it depends what application you use it for, in this case lets use mountain racing (touge). generally you want more weight in front for better stability or less understeer. But you also would want less weigh for better acceleration too, it goes hand and hand really. But still, 10 ibs, 5 ibs, i'd take it off my car, plus a SOHC can be built just as good as a DOHC, so in that case it comes down to opinion... and how good of a tuner you are.
dont underestimate single cams...

bro this video is weak as hell. these are not type r. they are ls and GSRs with type r wings. and rotas. Chill out with the letters "JDM" they mean somethin to a real honda enthusiast.
I saw alot of nice cars in here ; ) dont get me wrong. but few REAL type Rs are in here. and some of those front ends look ebay?
