Michael is no stranger to pain. He's also well aware of the shortcomings of pharmaceutical pain meds. Michael has been a quadraplegic ever since his car accident. Cannabis has allowed him to reduce his pain medication by 80%, restoring much of his quality of life.

  • Thanks- I have chronic, severe pain from fibromyalgia (on and off), so I share and sympathise with some of your pain and hardship. I found your testimony consistent with my existing beliefs and hope our states sooner join the other 14 in legalizing marijuana for medical uses - which are vast. It's been found to be good for pain, anxiety, glacoma, weight gain, sleeplessness, and nausea, to name a few. My state- KS already taxes "illegal" marijuana - sells the Drug Stamps and jail time penalties.

  • There's good work being done in Kansas. Laura Green of Drug Policy Forum of Lawrence has strived to change current laws and attitudes there.

When Laura so generously allowed Journey for Justice 7 to stay at her home for a few days back in 2006, I was able to conduct interviews there, including epilepsy sufferer Beth Wilkinson.

I hope to return someday soon. Stand strong, dear one. Together we will change law. mark-cpn
