It is a Samba lesson, you're looking at one part of the class, where I am teaching a particular movement for a choreography. And É o Tchan! is not a style of dance, is the name of a group from Bahia that plays Pagode, a sub-genre of Samba.

Just to clarify and enlighten, É o Tchan! is a popular PAGODE band from Salvador, Bahia, Brazil that started in 1992. PAGODE is a Brazilian style of music which originated in Salvador, Bahia, and quickly went down to Rio de Janeiro region, as a SUBGENRE OF SAMBA.
