Freestyles can be written. a "freestyle" is an "unstructured piece". So it can be off the top of the head or written. As long as its not a structured song its classed as a freestyle. Acting has nothing to do with it brother. if Em took some random bars and spat them over a beat that would be free-styling even if some were pre-written. In 8mile the guy had pre-written bars that he took to a "FREESTYLE battle". not being an arse, i just like proving my point lol

@PeaksMuzic yh so its not a freestyle cos its written. if an actor acts a scene he has learnt the words to but hes not in costume etc that is still not an improvisation. if he makes up a scene on the spot that is improv. same thing. definition of freestyle is that its off top of your head...

i know the bars were written before but its still a freestyle cos he's spittin some random bars over beats lol, its not a song cos its different bars on different beats lol.. you can freestyle without doing off the top of your head, trust this is freestyle lol
