Two men were rescued Thursday afternoon from a swollen stream in Gallatin County Kentucky.

Heavy rainfall this week triggered a flood advisory until 6:45 p.m. for much of the area and caused a stream to overflow near the Boone County-Gallatin County line.

The men drove their pickup truck into the swift-moving waters at about 3:45 p.m. near Southfork Road.

They were pulled safely from the water by a front-end loader, and the Gallatin County fire department assisted in the rescue.
