@sysghost the only problem is, that you cant find FL9 anywhere. i even went to imageline, it only directs you to FL10, and im not ready for that yet. I have my reasons.

It seems only the pirated version has this problem. The real thing doesn't have this problem at all.
I'd guess that the pirated version uses it's own installation program then.

running as administrator with compatibility mode set to Windows 2000 worked for me.

Right click FL Studio Installer>Properties>Compatibility>run it as xp2000>apply>re-try...BOOM

I know this has been said over and over, but for Windows 7 users just right click, select properties and then click compatibility and then tick the box that says "Run this program in compatibility mode for:".After that select Windows 2000 and click apply, then run as administrator. thumbs up so everyone can see and best of luck to everyone! P.S. don't call me a dumbass because it didn't work for you, it work perfectly fine for me XD.
