No I'm not talking about HISD or Houston Traffic! I'm talkinf about The Mayden Chronicles going wild in Chapter Five... It's all over the place. Messy, Messy, Messy! Learn why that's okay, and what I plan to do about it.

THE MAYDEN CHRONICLES is a magical novel being written as a blog in real time (about a chapter every ten days) with video posts to enhance the story as well as to reveal the actual writing process. We have prizes for those who comment, including a grand prize $3,800 diamond studded watch form Baume & Mercier. We feature young adult writers and posts on creating excellence in any field. We especially love to incorporate the comments from our readers into edits and next chapters.

  • It is a dance, witchypoo! Give them too much room, and they may not obey some of the worthy "rules" of fiction. Don't let them speak, and you're too controlling. Sounds like you have a good balance.

  • Thanks RogueNovelist! Glad to be of service... let me know if there are topics that you want covered...

  • When is this gonna be published?

  • I find that I have that problem only in revers. It seems like there are details that i wanna stretch out that i don't want stretched out, so I wind up going back and adding more detail, and feeling, and what ever I or my characters feel need to be added. This is my first book, and I an just winging it really, so I'm letting my characters sort of take me by the hands and lead the way so to speak, and it's quite fun for me to do that, but also I'm learning when I need to do some of the leading.

  • Informative. Good job.
