Game Version: NTSC/USA
Controller: DualShock2

Here's a replay of B10, in the Citroen C3 @ Laguna Seca. There are plenty of places where I can shave time.

My apex for turn #5 was too early (too much braking). It really slowed my exit, and I think I can take #6 flat-out (again, the result of an early turn-in). In any case, this time ranks #9 @ gtrp(dot)de as of today.

My PS2 just started working again, so maybe I'll spend some time with this game again (note the replay is from Feb).

More GT4 Replays on the way. Stay tuned!

  • Ya gotta' help me out here, bro. How did you manage to get 4 seconds less than the demo run in the license test? What parts did you do differently. I would try to compare your vid to the demo run, while playing, but I do not have my PS2 at the moment.

  • Could you possible post this in KM odometer? Secondly, on the closest third person view, as well?

  • My PS2 is broken, and can't read discs right now. I don't know if/when I'll get it repaired...

  • For the most part, it's just practice and determination. It only took 2 attempts to get gold, but it took another 50 runs (at least) to knock off the other few seconds.

The more you run, the easier it'll be to find the right landmarks for your steering, brake, and throttle.

Keep trying, and Have A Great Drive!

  • For this test, it's better to cut the first turn instead of drafting the pace car. Also, it's often better to lift the accelerator instead of using the brake (for low-powered cars like this one). Finally, find the rev limit for each car, and try to maximize each shift (all cars will have different power/torque bands). It is especially important to draft the pace car coming up the hill into The Corkscrew, as well as after the final turn.

  • o wow thank you this video helped me shave off a lota time and i actually passed the race while talking on aim =D thanks a bunch hope you have a ps3 and get gt5!

  • One place where you can really pick up time is the first turn out of the stop. If you ignore the fact that it has two apexes and take the whole thing really tight, that will cut about a half a second off of your time.
