Darrell Gene Roach was born on October 31, 1978 in Rockingham, North Carolina. As a child he began to explore his artistic talents while participating in art project with his mother Janet Roach. His first memorable work was a painting that he and his mother completed which was a representation of the tree of knowledge and the sun with an illustration by his mother of her holding him up to observe the glorious objects of the world. As he progressed into adulthood he became a full time artist after finding great disappointment in his ability to express himself in the traditional business world. This was the greatest point in his life as his work became well regarded by the media and celebrities at a very rapid rate. As an artist he has been able to see his work go from raw cut up bed sheeting into very expensive wall treatments in some of the most expensive homes across the US. He has also had great success in his jewelry business which began with what he says was, "an investment of $7.50 and a roll of copper wire," to a well respected celebrity designer who's work has been seen on many red carpets and celebrities from Fantasia Burrino of American Idol fame to Eva Pigford from Americas Next top model in addition to soulful pop singer Rihanna, and Beyonce "Knowles" Carter. To add to that his work has been featured in some of the top Fashion Magazines across the globe such as Vogue Italy, Elle Mexico, Fashion Magazine Canada, Zink Magazine, Glitterati Magazine. His view on his career has retained the raw simplicity of his beginning, " I love making things that I like, I am just blessed that many other people have appreciated my work so in my eyes I am just as I was when I began an AMERICAN ARTIST.

  • Is this the best you can put forward? Some pieces look like they are a school project, other pieces look wonderful.
