I made this channel a while ago cause I hated getting up and holding in the power button on the Wii to turn it off completly. I have a video on how I made the channel here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ba7IM5Cog0Y

POWER OFF CHANNEL: This Channel will completely power off your Wii, red light. No need to get off your lazy ass and turn the Wii off manualy. NOTE: using the Wii-mote while WiiConnect24 is on to power down only puts the Wii in standby mode, orange light. If you use a USB hard drive or something the Wii still sends power to the USB ports and your USB drive remains powered on..

Download it from here: http://turdinc.kicks-ass.net/Msntv/ps2/wiiChannels.html

  • thats a good idea thanks or u can just hold down the off butten

  • @naterpatter But what would all us lazy people do if we actually had to get off our butts to hold the power button??

  • where do u get it

  • @Ivelios1 There is a link in the description to download it.

  • is there an eject channel

  • Yea I have one called POWER OFF or EJECT and REBOOT CHANNEL: This App will check for a disc in the drive, if found will eject it and offer you the choice to reboot the Wii by pressing the A button. If no button is pressed within 5 seconds the Wii will completly shut down. You can grab it on my site. The link is in the more info box to the right.

  • Wheres the channel to make your wii remote move by itself so that I wont have to do ANY physical activity in order to get to the power off channel?

  • oorrrrrr..... you can just press the power button on the remote

  • What he said in a nutshell: If you have WiiConnect24 on, your Wii will seem turned off, but still receive messages. If you connected a USB device, it will still get power from the Wii, therefore not turning completely off.

  • what happens if u have a ps2 there is no channel u have to hold down the butten so have to get if lazy but ughhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh people never ps2 these days:):(

  • Oooo. When I saw my wii power at orange I was like "woah did my wii break omg".

  • @graspyonox hey thanks but i found another way to do it but thanks

  • thanks so much! u rock

  • it takes to long!

  • I just installed it and it works great, thank you!

  • Yea.

  • Does this work on 4.2U?

  • Thank you I too hate having to get up and hold the button down until it goes red so this is the perfect solution, thanks!!!

  • thanks for this.. just what i was looking for

  • If you turn off Wii Connect 24 then you can completly turn off the Wii with the Wiimote. But if you don't turn off Wii Connect 24 then it only puts the Wii in standby mode (yellow light) this will keep power going to your USB drive. I explained this in the video.

  • why dont you just use the power button on the Wii remote??????????

  • allright ty!

  • mikeymx3 asked:

do i put the sourse file in apps and wad file in wad or all in wad file?

    Reply:

Just put the wad in the wad folder and install it through the Wad Manager. You don't have to do anything with the source code. I just included that just incase anyone wanted to mess with the code and learn how to make apps for the Wii.

  • If you have WiiConnect24 turned on and you use the Wii-mote to turn off the Wii it only puts the Wii in Standby Mode. Read the info in the information box on theright.
