We asked John Friend, founder of Anusara yoga, 'if you were going to create the best yoga mat possible, what would it be?' He told us. Then, we built that mat. Meet the John Friend Collection by Manduka. More heart. More space. More Room to roam. Check it out at www.Manduka.com/JohnFriend

  • People. It's just a yoga mat. I like Manduka and I recently bought myself a "Beginner's Luck Packgage," but I've been looking at photos from Occupy Wall Street all day and now seeing this promo (that looks like an Apple ad from 2004) just makes me feel terrible. John Friend is not Steve Jobs, and really, are you going to be the one who shows up for a packed class with a gigantic mat, bigger than everyone else's? Who wants that reputation? Sorry, this just left me with a bad taste in my mouth.

  • @cecily7 You're right. We're just a company that makes yoga mats. But we try to do it with the most heart, soul, eco-responsibility and attention to the yoga community as possible. We want to offer the tools to help people find their most honest, joyful and ready-to-serve selves. And for some, a little more space might open up a whole lotta doors in their practice.

  • Where's the love, people? It's just a yoga mat - it's either gonna be awesome for your practice or it's not. I just wanted to see John play more air guitar.

  • As an Anusara-Inspired teacher teaching at many studios and fitness centers, I can say a quality mat makes all the difference. Some mats are just unsafe, slippery, thin. Students get too tense just trying to stay on the mat. I've tossed it aside and used the hard wood floor. If you are committed to a lifelong practice of yoga, you cannot go wrong with a one-time purchase of a high quality mat. One that is 30-inches wide is my wide shoulder's best friend. Yes, I'll show up with it!

  • This ad is disturbing and disgusting.. and further evidence of Yoga being turned over to the hands of clever profiteers like Jon Friend and the Anusara Scene (Cult). As a long time Yoga Instructor I am grossed out.

  • over reacted. calm down. just a mat somewhat wider. are you one of those complaining endlessly when seated next to a big guy on an underground?! learn to share. start from a few public inches. i' wouldn't mind even a 30% bigger mat next to me as long as it's owned by a yogi with a good will.

  • is this the same as the "Revolution Mat" ? I thought that was the John Friend mat with PrAna...

  • @volenet bad marketing

  • this is so awful. I've also always liked Manduka style but this video just wants me to unsubscribe and never buy anything from Manduka anymore. is this really such a bad marketing step or a bad joke?

  • I've often wished I had a wider mat. I want one :)

  • @ilusiphur692342 I suppose you will also fart through the series and snore during Savasana to top it off.

  • @cecily7 I'LL SHOW YOU POOR ETIQUETTE!

I'm going to take all 5 of my Manduaka Mats and roll them over your mats. And I'm going to swipe your water bottle.
