Wild Horse Crisis - and solution! A minidoc by Jeff Roth & Kurt Brungardt

This piece tells the story of the plight of America's wild horses, whose protected lands are being taken away by the federal government and whose existence is threatened by the influence of large corporations on the Bureau of Land Management (Dept. of the Interior).

I shot and edited this video with my producing partner Kurt Brungardt for the Vanity Fair magazine website.

It examines the Calico wild horse roundups that took place in January 2010, and the legal battle to try and stop it.

It presents a win-win solution to the crisis which is so far being ignored by the BLM.

Roundups are continuing throughout the summer and fall.

this is shit this need to stop 36,000 mustang lock up in holding pens cant anybody put them into thier life

Love the video, and I'm in favor of leaving the wild horses wild, I disagree with shipping them to holding lots or slaughter houses so oil and gas companies can steal their lands. The BLM should seriously consider other means of management.
