"Venceremos" for Chile

"Venceremos" - a Chilean political song- a symbol of the "Unidad Popular" movement of Salvador Allende.The song was written by Claudio Iturra and composed by Sergio Ortega.The following is an extract from the East German biographical drama "El Cantor" about the last weeks of the Chilean singer and poet Victor Jara killed during the coup in 1973.The film was directed by the American singer and actor Dean Reed who played Victor Jara.
