@Peemic LL still carved his own niche in the game man, you make it sound like Cool J bit everything from T La Rock and those that know understand that is not true....Cool J is an originator man..he is a legend, he took hip-hop to new heights....those that know hip-hop history know this too....

@Redsun69813 LL is the sickest ever. No 16 year old should be able to spit lyrics like this!

@Redsun69813 Also check out Mikey D and the LA (Laurleton, Queens) Posse and check the slick delivery.....
-
@Redsun69813 There is no doubt off LL's flows but his whole 1984-86 steel was influenced by others....The stage show of L/CC/ELove was based on Run DMC....the sideburns were from Run....the original Rock the Bells was from Peter Piper..Dear Yvette was from Grandmaster Caz...Rock the Bells was from Crash Crews Breaking Bells..LL is still the GOAT...

@tlarock Just got done playing Runaway......these cats need to listen to your joints....
-
matter of fact....if you're birthdate is in the 80's...dont speak on anything HIPHOP......cuz u really need to do your homework.....if u werent rockin Gazelles, Kangols, Lambskins, dukey ropes, puff leathers, flavored Lee jeans, or name belts, or Starter College Jackets, or fat-laced shell-toe Adidas or Pumas.....shut your mouth

When this record came out....this the style...period......so to say he bit anybody's style is crazy...T la Rock was down with Def Jam with "its yours"....do your homework and your will hear that everybody was rappin like that back then....LL is hiphop people....he was there from the beginnin and will still eat any of these kats out now for lunch and shit them out for dinna!!!
-
lets face it...all things considered.....all catigories being weighed...LL is the greatest rapper ever

this song tiped a lot of heads heavly toward hiphop... or just made the addiction that mutch worse.

Tom Tom snare hat bass and cymbal, like that of a cat on the mic im nimble. Simply the best
@mrpower328 I see your point but it still goes against one of the core rules of hip hop which is NO biting and people should know who originated the style.

@Peemic Oh yeah T La Rock and his brother Special K of the Treacherous Three deserves all the credit, no doubt about that. They Originated that style. LL is a student of that style.

LL totally bit his style and this record from T LA ROCK
Peemic 1 year ago 3
@Peemic You can't really blame LL for sounding like T La Rock, but you can blame Rick Rubin for this. Rick wanted the same type style record as It's Yours. It's Yours and I Need a Beat is actually the same type record.
