Video Games Live (Halo, Civilization IV and Kingdom Hearts)

(---------Please Read Description-----)

Hms played the piece Video Games Live Res. High School.

The band is out of some 6th graders with a lot of 7th and 8th graders.
I was a 7th grader at the time, playing the Clarinet.

The piece was very challenging.

Halo Theme- Very challenging, the hardest for me :x

Civilization IV- Very fun piece to play. It's easy but you have to pay attention.

Kingdom Hearts- Just need to practice very very hard..


Kingdom Hearts is for Nick :o

Overall, excellent for a middle school band. MUCH better than mine was, and easily comparable to a high school band. Props to the musicians. Although I could hear the tempo rushing in some places, especially toward the end of "Baba Yetu". The tempo dragged in other parts, too. The band lost each other every once in a while, but they stayed together for most of the time. So all in all, good work. I'm definitely impressed and inspired for my own band's performance of these pieces come December.

Your trumpets really love to dominate the tempo when they come in!

The band sounds very good, especially listening closely to the woodwinds, the majority of you are really getting those notes down!

I cut that part out cause its too embarrassing. It will blow out your speakers.

Listening to this again (as i always am, haha!) it sounds like you guys are very brass heavy. Maybe try having your brass play a bit quieter bc when they play i can only hear the trumpets. Haha, idk maybe its spossed to sound that way.
