The 2012 Collection

Created specifically for the British women's football team, intended for the 2012 London Summer Olympics, an anatomically appropriate kit; ergonomically effective, whilst aesthetically gratifying. Taking a radically fresh approach to women's football wear; producing feminine, athletic designs that consider future developments in sportswear, technology and the game.

Unlimited by preconceptions and the development of menswear, the collection will be unique and innovative, exploring the women's game as a sport in its own right and fundamentally taking into consideration the vast differences in the women's game and female form.

Technologically appropriate, featuring wicking, breathable and waterproof materials the garments will be sleek and professional in finish, granting the British team a physiological edge over their competitors with a powerful look on the pitch. The garments will reference classic 1920's women's sportswear, as well as the early 1960s, creating a chic but formal, feminine feel.

The collection will contain future focussed garments, suitable for both official matches and training, which are equally visually attractive and game enhancing. Pioneering and inventive in design, the collection strives to be a groundbreaking new take on the female football kit.

Co-ordinated to look appropriate on and off the pitch, the garments will attract a new 'fashion engaged' customer base to women's football wear, whilst retaining the traditional 'in the stand' fans.

Taking inspiration from British iconic images, the collection integrates the strength of presence of Britannia and the diagonal, clean, linear Union Jack, to produce modern garments that reference classic fashion pieces. Minimalistic, strongly structured, angular themes run thought the collection.

Deep blood reds, rich midnight blues and luxurious champagne whites lend a regal, poised aura to the traditional GB team colours.
