they look identical exept for MGS in the NES or GAMEBOY when snake still is young he looks like someone else but after or starting on MGS1 on the PSX he looks the same as BIGBOSS

did you save the game after you see big boss die? the epilogue and if you did load that file and it well go to the new game and you chose the difficulty there :) hope that helped
