Disgust. Revulsion. Anger.

There's a lot of emotions screaming through my head right now. Part of me wants to smash Ms. Trotta in the face with a shovel. Part of me wants to sit down with her and explain why we don't say those types of things on public television -- and then smash her in the face with a shovel. But that isn't what we need, and isn't who we are. Obama's campaign -- our campaign -- is about more.

Expecting more of our leaders.
Expecting more of our future.
Expecting more of ourselves.

Yes, I'm pissed, but we need to stop with the name calling and angry posts yelling, "can a get a what what for knocking bitch out with ma hoe!" We've a long way to march yet and this isn't the support Obama needs from us. Let's face it, Obama's winning because of young people and African Americans, it's natural for the aging generations of yesteryear to fear us. As sad as it is, we need to be the mature ones here. We need to be the ones to shake our heads quietly and move on because here we face an ignorance that doesn't listen. No, to combat the fear and anger so many have for this campaign we need to step it up to the nth degree.

We need to speak through actions as the polls suggest our other minded compatriots don't read good.
We need to volunteer.
We need to smile.
We need to show them that the future Obama promises isn't just for us, his supporters, but for every man, woman, and child in this great nation, no matter for whom they cast their ballot. And we need to give them a glimpse of that future now. Through maturity, kindness, and not smashing Ms. Trotta in the face with a shovel.

It won't take Obama to change america but 300,000,000 people to change the country. You have to involve yourselves in changeing the congress, the senate and local politicians to have this happen.
