It is called Domra and it is an old russian music instrument with mostly 4 stirng.

Not a Mandolin....it is called a Domra....i was just given one from my mother...she got it in russia around the 60's...as a gift from somewon
very fun instrument to play..Domra or Dumra is the name if the instrument
i met this irianian man in a park one day haha....and he was a FOlk musician ...studied music in sweden for 12 years he told me....he said he hadnt seen a Domra in over 35 years

This Russian Dance by Tchaikovsky is one of my favorite compositions. For those who don't know, It was written for Swan Lake Ballet to be performed by one certain ballerina (don't know her name) and that piece was removed from it later. I wish to SEE this dance too not only hear it. Never thought it could sound so beautiful on domra.
