Elephant Gun Strum Tutorial - ukulele

Ok, so I was asked how I do the strum for Beirut's Elephant Gun, and since it's easier to show and I need to get more experience doing tutorials that's what I've decided to do. A tutorial that is.

It's a simple strumming patter which is: Up, Up, Down, Down, Up, Up, Down, Up, Down.

When I strum up I use my finger as opposed to my thumbnail, and I pluck just the C and G strings (or in this case C# and G#).

And that's it.

hey im a beginner, want are the chords please?

Hi there,

The chords for default tuning are A minor,

D7, G, C, Cmaj7.

If you want the same pitch as the some you can tune your uke up a semi tone or put a capo on the first fret.

Phenomenal video. Out of curiosity, what brand and model ukulele do you own? It has a warm sound, almost like an Epiphone or Les Paul guitar. Hope you're doing well, keep playing!
