  • NEWS UPDATE - this week all three families have been able to move back into their homes following extensive redecoration and repair work to the three properties. Just in time for Christmas!!!

  • @MrFishmonger1 - ...The nearest hydrant was on the high street (down to the left of the picture) and had to suffice until a water Engine arrived. There didn't seem to be much of a sense of urgency throughout the day and the fire eventually destroyed 3 properties not just the one in video. It was not apparent why it was allowed to cause so much damage considering services were on hand 15mins after it began. 2 youths started the blaze. All people & pets are ok but mightily inconvenienced.

  • why couldn't the fire engines park where the cars were? seems abit strange, what was the cause of this fire nad was the family involved alright?

  • @MrFishmonger1 - Hi, thanks for your comment. Well, the Fire Engines did eventually drive round and park in front of the houses where the cars are in the video. However, what you don't see are the numbers of Fire Fighters involved - approximately, 35, but only about 4 or 5 were ever actively fighting the fire at one time the rest were "managers" and "squad leaders" and "officers in charge" - you get the picture....

  • I hope the 2 little punks who started this fire were caught!!

  • @illuminousguru That is a bad design if the nearest hydrant is a good distance away. The fire service appeared to be just walking around and not bothered. I know what you mean about too many managers!

At least by me the fire service people get stuck-in and work very fast and efficiently.
