Why I left alone after Montignac? My team and I retreat to a forest, but in next mission I left alone and my squad members bodies on the gruond. From almost all sides soviet troops and BMP's are coming.

@Blackthorne2010 I guess I wasn't so savvy on my original play-through 10 years ago, to get this outcome. ;)

But I remember mission where I was all alone gave me the creeps on how realistic it felt - like I was really alone in the forest trying to get out to evac.

No game has ever done it for me since then.

Jeez, I wish I had known from the start of this mission that you could just simply drive the truck to Ea64 rather than waste your time circling around Morton only to get ambushed at every corner and then be expected to walk 1000 m to the alternate extraction point.

@lebac No, this mission wasn't changed at all. The previous mission has two different outcomes: 1) Bravo Squad is eliminated before you can even assault Montignac and you must retreat immediately; 2) You capture Montignac but must retreat to a forest after your escape truck and Black Hawk both get blown up. In this case, the former of the two happened and brings you to this mission. Both missions are very tense and challenging to beat.

Actually it was quite funny this way as well. As I managed to save most of my team (only 1 guy killed) at the final cut-scene when Russians are capturing Armstrong and yelling at him, rest of the squad killed them mid-sentence. To bad I didn't record this... so funny. Armstrong answering to empty air. :D

After that cut-scene when resistance guys arrive, only an officer and one solider were alive. I just picked up an AK near the tent and cleaned them up before resistance guys did.

They changed the best mission in the whole game!

In the original you were left all alone to try and make it to the extraction point. I don't remember ever feeling more immersed into any game then when I played that mission trying to get to evac point alive.
