Stock Pontiac G8 GT, with Doug Thorley Tri-Y long tube headers, no cats. Solo Mach Shorty exhaust into 3.5" dual staggered tips. Video doesn't do the exhaust justice! Haven't finished lining up the tips yet.

  • is that the balance solo system? any more vids?? because I'm planning for the same setup..

  • @studio383 This is the unbalanced system (no crossover pipe, but internal X in the muffler). No more vids recently - Car is back to stock + SOLO, working on building my twin turbo system for it :)

  • Any Rasp?

  • @Rican219 - Not really - but would certainly be "smoother" with cats. The video of me at the track should give you a good idea - but it still sounds better in person: (my pass is 3:18) Punch this video in: y0kq28Gfq5c

  • Hows the smell without cats? This is the setup I plan on doing and may add cats if the smell is too much.

  • Smell isn't bad at all - honestly. I think my old Lightning had more "stink". It's going to smell irregardless without cats, but it's nowhere near obnoxious... and I don't ever smell it in the car.
