Episode one of Gaming Abominations covers Conan for the NES. What happens when you slap a license on a good game? You get crap.

Probably the best example is (J.R.R. Tolkien's LotR volume 1) for SNES. Its a game not alot of people knew about for the SNES that was licenced after that legandary franchise. But generally its a terrible game.

You are correct. Anything from a popular franchise eventually will become a collector's item.

I remember LotR Volume 1 on the SNES. It wasn't really that bad of a game. I got stuck because I couldn't find on of the items you need to get into Rivendell, haha. I remember waiting for Volume 2 and 3, which, of course, never came.

Yeah, it's a bad game. I think you're vastly over-playing it's badness, though. The worst graphics you've ever seen? Lol
