Custom Valentine One (V1) Radar Detector Mount in Volvo

Quick video of my custom "stealth" hardwired V1 installation in Volvo 850. Very easy to do using a stock visor mount, yet hard to see from outside the vehicle front or rear. With a concealed display, its almost undetectable. I was tired of seeing suction cups give out, having issues with the tint dots on top of the windshield, and trying to level it every time with temp changes. I was also tired of trying to mount it anywhere stealth without blocking the rear antenna from the rear view. This solved all of the above.

Good job dude, as long as the tint strip doesnt reflect laser scatter your good to go, go for a small mini display its a lot easier to control and having no lights makes it moree discrete

Ive got mine wired to an in dash button and just tapped into the 12v power in the ash tray, have it mounted high upside down right now pointing alittle down, and have a privacy film on the display so the lights arnt visible from the sides, and idea if a high mount is still a good idea, keep in mind im a cheap bastard and picked up a cobra off craigslist for 10$ (usually a 150$ unit)

Was a diehard escort fan until they invented their BS truelock. Then after seeing how much of a risk it was decided to give V1 a shot. Best money I ever spent, arrow addict, and it's saved me 100 times easily. I couldn't drive without it.
