Gordon Ramsay visits Bonapartes restaurant in Silsden, a small town in Yorkshire to see why the restaurant is failing.

A struggling restaurant receives the Gordon Ramsay treatment. With only a couple of weeks to turn around its flagging fortunes, there's no time for polite small talk as Gordon reveals a few home truths and embarks upon his mission to turn things around.

  • mate, you cant run one kitchen, never mind three restaurants in leeds, london, and new york! foooool

  • Basically the UK original version isn't as dumbed down as the ones created for the American market. As with all decent TV shows, the first season is the best then as usual it all goes to crap... case-in-point, Ramsay's Kitchen Nightmares.

  • @fmagistel lol dude.. thats a nice observation.. also no product placement.. at least not as obvious as US.

  • @IbnShahid

Catering colleges don't grant 'executive chef' titles to anyone. You study, you get a qualification stating you've demonstrated proficiency in skills required to work in a professional kitchen.

Assuming Tim went to college (improbable; he started out washing dishes, and there is no mention of a formal education), he would be qualified to go into a kitchen as a Commis, or a de Partie at best.

  • @IbnShahid Agreed, but on the other hand, you're kind of asking for it if you're a dumb 21-year-old shit who annoints himself exec chef, no?

  • I realise I may be in a minority of one, but I actually felt sorry for the head chef of this restaurant. Sure, he was clueless, of course he was. But neither he, nor the woman who was his boss were the real villains. That title belongs to the catering college/department which 'trained' the head chef and gave him his qualification. It's a shame it wasn't named and shamed in the programme.

  • sheesh, Silsden was still a shit hole back then.

  • WOW, Silsden has changed A LOT since this was filmed :D
