  • thanks for your feedback, my fusible thread just arrived today and would you believe in a separate box my new glue pens came i can't wait to try them. Question people say you can iron on fleec but you have fusible fleece. do u think it will work to use the foil on fleece scarves to embellish, i missplace my applique sheet this week but a new one is on the way. do u think it will work/

  • I've never tried using foil on fleece. Let me know how it goes for you. You can use parchment paper if you don't have a teflon pressing sheet. You know fleece isn't real dense so it will be interesting to see the effect you get. Let me know.

  • I was very impressed at how easy you were able to enlighten me. I have had this foil sitting on the shelf for a year or three. thank you, I plan on buying this thread and doing something with foil. I just bought glue but am afraid of making a mess.

  • Thanks! I'd like to encourage you to use the glue as well, with your foil. It is all water soluble so it is not difficult to clean up. Try using it with a stencil or stamp. I think you will be really pleased with the results. Good luck with using the Fusible Thread... it's fun & can make some really nice designs depending on your machine and pattern.

  • can you wash this?

  • Wash by hand or on gentle in the machine inside out so it doesn't rub. Don't dry in the dryer as the heat and the rubbing of the hot drum will take it off. Hang dry. Just like you would on any shirt you purchased with foiling on it at Nordstrom or Buckle or wherever. T

  • Fusible thread and foil w/Trish Stuart; she's the bomb! (Watch & Learn)

  • wow Great idea. Ive had both foil and fusible thread lying around here for many years. Never occurred to me to use them together. Doh!

You're a lady after my own heart too, with a Viking machine & Rowenta iron! Thanaks for posting your vids.

  • Where can I get the fusible thread, and foil papers that you used? This is totally awesome! I've done foil art before on fabric, but with the paint on gel that dried and then you stick the foil on and put a sealer on, but I've never seen thread like this! I'd like to try this with tatting! I could adhere tatted snowflakes to a shirt and put silver foil or whatever! Please please tell me how to get this stuff!

  • I used printer paper between foil and iron since i don't know where my applique sheet it.

  • You know I couldnt sleep. So I made my granddaughter a hat. Then I open the glue and found a piece of scrap fleece. The glue dried in 10min when i used a burnisher it didnt work. So I plug the iron and applied the heat. The thread worked great. I had to reapply over the glue but it did work. Considering its fleece and hairy it was ok. But the thread was clean finish on the fleece. I also used the glue section to position thread. No problem fleece held up great. Thanks for help.

  • You can find it online at Joann Fabrics, and Art Supply stores, There is a lady on ebay letting some in green go for $1.75 a sheet. You know things move fast on ebay. 10/26/09
