I watched this amazing movie a year ago. Today I was in a play based on it (with my class...)

Typical. The mom is shown to be the smart one and the dad's portrayed as a big dummy. Some dads are dummies (and so are some moms) but why couldn't both parents be portrayed as intelligent?
