The WB Signs Off

The final promo of the WB. I figured this is a little piece of television history, it's the first major network I've seen sign off. UPN acutally shut down first, but not many parts of the country...

do you think WB's move to drop the WWE Friday Night Smackdown show doomed them? MyNetwork TV picked up by the way

No, they were well on their way out by then. I thought it was UPN that had the WWE.

When they shut off the Wb, It just felt weird. If im not mistaken, alot of the shows you see on Cartoon Network got a start on WB Kids, and I also learned through Wikipedia, that the reason the Sillhoutee comes up is because he "Died" Two years before the shut off. But Pokemon got its start on this network.

Yeah, this was the last footage the station transmitted. It faded to black on an image of Michigan J. Frog and then went off the air.

I was shocked by WB not making it, it was slow at first, but when they started to have a lot of critical hits, like Buffy, I thought it would pull a FOX, and become long term 5th network, where UPN I always felt would fail, very few good shows there.
