Video of a Marantz 2600 I used to own. This was the the second most-powerful receiver made during the "power wars" of the late 1970s, and Marantz's best. 300WPC into 8ohms or 400 into 4. Scope is on the Audio setting, showing the power and shape of the signal. The music is Marche Militaire by Gounod, as played on the Atlantc City Convention Hall pipe organ.

  • how does it sound?

is there any marantz amplifier or recaiver that sounds better?

  • @nokia3210fuck

Sounded excellent. I replaced it with separates and I'm happy with my decision, though. When you pack this much hardware into one cabinet compromises are unavoidable.

  • I just got the 2270. I found it in a junk yard. I can't believe someone would throw out a Marantz!! Theyre like the rolls-royce of sound!! can't wait to get it running!!! :D

  • Nothing like the dramatic sound of a pipe organ in the hands of a skilled musician.

  • This receiver is sooo rare!

  • Holy crap awesome

  • Freaking beautiful. What a machine.

  • awesome

  • ese ojillo verde que embruja, precioso el osciloscopio!

  • I love this unit! Play the song Strobe, from an artist called Deadmau5. It's techno, but it looks amazing on the oscilloscope!
