@MynZnusz Thank you. Yeah I got bored with Eruption so I decided to learn it backwards. Good thing I did - while I was at NAMM last year I played Eruption at the EVH 5150 booth on the second floor. The audience was pretty jazzed then I played it backwards and their jaws collectively dropped! lol

I feel like a retard on my guitar now

Good now play it backwards, oh wait...

A little reverb but only so it accentuates your playing - NOT SO IT DISTORTS THE CRAP OUT OF IT!!!!
-
4/10 bass, 6/10 mids, 8/10 treble
= great, punchy high end (good for soloing)
6/10 bass, 4/10 mids, 7/10 treble
= better, beefy low end (good for driving power chords)

And instead of always refering to full gain as your only option, try setting it at a really crunchy level but not metal crunchy and turn up the master volume on your amp - youll get a much crunchier, yet more appealing tone from your amp (this may not apply to those amps designed for metal playing such as randall)

@GuitarNinjahhh Several months ago I got a mesa boogie half stack but recording with a cheap sony camera still stucks. recently I figured out how to record with my Boss GT-10 directly to garage band - so I am getting there.

ONLY ONE HOUR A DAY......... WTF that is incredible but if you never skack off like i do its quite believable.... Just some good critisism for better sound... Im doing a sound production course and i think you need more bass, a little less treble and quite a lot of mid...
AMP SETINGS
(4/10) A little reverb goes a long way for guitar playing - too much can distort guitar solos And it will make you sound shitty even if you are the best guitarist in the world.
(1/10) = settings on amp
~ 6/10 mi

@GuitarNinjahhh I have been working on better guitar tone and better recording techniques. Yeah I practice one hour a day - it is not how long you practice but what and how you practice. people who practice four hours a day - that becomes the goal putting the four hours in - and when they do it makes them feel better - instead of focusing on getting better - that can be achieved through consistent focused practice every day of an hour.
