Scotland and England shared a king from 1608 to1707 Union of Parliaments.The fact that a pro French government was in Edinburgh undermined England's Empire building so it be came a strategic necessity for England to have control of Scotland that's why London bought the Edinburgh bankers and had an 8000 strong English army to assist with the vote just inside the border and the vote excluded 75% of the population at the time.

Breaking the Union would be amazingly stupid. What would we do with the SSBN bases, the Armed Forces etc. We would be made weak and it's all Labours fault!!!
