A very basic tutorial here on how to fix the Microsoft Xbox 360's Red Ring Of Death! (RRoD)

You get internet scams telling you to buy there special kit to fix RRoD console, well here is a secret that they don't want YOU to know!

In this tutorial you will need:
- An E74 Red Ring of Death xbox
- A Hairdryer (?) or a heat gun!

This won't cost you a penny! Don't waste your money buying cheaply thrown together kits for 20 pounds or dollars and more, be smart and fix it your self

NOTE!: ONLY ATTEMPT TO FIX YOUR CONSOLE IF THE WARRANTY HAS EXPIRED OR IT IS A SPARE 360.

You have been warned, I will take no responsibilities if you injure your self when attempting to fix your console. (Example seen in this video)

Hey! My console is still not working! What's up with that!
--- This method is not proven to work 100% of the time. I would recommend the x-clamp fix and this fix at the same time. There are plenty of tutorials on how to do the x-clamp fix, but I may post another just for the people who want it.

For those who don't know what it's doing:
This method is heating up your motherboard's components, and especially the gpu and cpu heat sink. It heats up the ram chips, and reflow's the motherboard.

Please, I worked very hard on this video, when I was making the video, rendering the video (3 hours 27 mins & 13 secs) , also It takes a little while to type the actual description and tags. So please, at the very least, post a comment, like the video and subscribe. It means a lot to a small YouTuber such as myself. Thank you.

  • Cmon the scots! Swearing is part of our fu*king language haha!

  • @ORIGINALM0DZ Okay... It's your choice, but I HIGHLY recommend you keep it super cool... Water cooling preferably but that's expensive!

    Have fun :)

  • @ORIGINALM0DZ You're welcome. If you can or already have, I'd recommend getting a 12v fan mod done to your JTAG, also make sure it is very well ventilated and can have a good bunch of fresh cold air around it (not too cold lol). Make sure you put some arctic silver thermal paste on the cpu and gpu chip (under there heatsinks).

I will PM you methods to keeping it cool, to make sure you don't get the same error(s) you had last time. Unless it dies of general Hardware failure....

  • @ORIGINALM0DZ Depends on what the secondary error code is. I wouldn't recommend doing this if you haven't yet done the x-clamp fix. It works very well, all you need is some washers, some screws and thermal paste. But this may work. Remember, this isn't a perma fix. It's temporarily to be used. I would sell it and pretend it didn't have RRoD after fixing it.

Good luck, I will most happily help you with it if you want via PM :)

  • clean yourroom man but great advice cool fool

  • @VideoGamerHD Chuck norris can get online without an internet connection, and keep his Xbox cool without heatsinks. He JTAGs using his piss. He mods with cream crackers.
