@alfkowitz Your life means what you want it to mean. This is true whether you believe you get that meaning from outside yourself or from within. You are right, nothing lasts forever. The entire universe will one day die a cold silent death. But to believe that makes everything meaningless is silly. That's like saying eventually I'll be hungry again, so why does it matter if I eat now? Faulty logic. My life will mean what I want it to mean, based on the choices I make, and so will yours.

A question for atheists: what is the point of it all? If the universe will ultimately die off with a sigh, what was the meaning of everything? All of our inventions, degrees, education, money and pleasures; all of our dreams, hopes and aspirations; our knowledge, fears and failures, everything that we ever worked for will amount to absolutely NOTHING. Nobody will be around to value or critique what we have done. Certainly none of us will be around to gloat or feel ashamed about anything.

@alfkowitz since we aren't GUARANTEED any other life than this one, it's important to live this life to its fullest potential and enjoy it while it lasts. that's what makes this life so unique and beautiful =)
