  • I saw her in London myself a few weeks ago, and I *REALLY* felt the transition from her shallow "Galinda" to the maturing Glinda.

She was the *MOST SYMPATHETIC* Glinda I've seen thus far in the 2nd act of the play - and so *GRIPPINGLY BELIEVABLE* even though she was using the "character voice" right along, which is an OUTSTANDING FEAT.

I *TRULY* felt and connected with her finer emotions in Act 2, and she *NEVER* came across as annoying to me after shedding the initial "Galinda" persona.

  • Comparing Dianne & Annaleigh is like comparing apples & oranges. They're practically 2 different versions of the character, despite having the same lines & the same songs.

I could care less about Dianne not hitting the High C even when I saw her, because the *PSYCHOLOGICAL DEPTH* that she brought to the role in the second half was *SO* much more FASCINATING than any of the other Glindas I've seen, and that *MORE* than made up for the High C.

Annaleigh is AMAZING but in a very different way.

  • Absolutely brilliant, original take on Glinda.

  • @Dallimorelover We love you but you are in the minority! lol! Although I think that Dianne is the best Galinda ever, I think she and Helen compliment each other in certain qualities...

  • hello best glinda ever ever EVER. i miss her glinda so much! seriously, no glinda has ever managed to bring me to tears in thank goodness like dianne used to. as much as i love louise dearman's take on glinda, her acting in thank goodness cant compare to dianne's. dianne always sang this song with such emotion and complexity, it made the audience really feel sorry for glinda and sympathise with her. i've yet to see another actress perform this song as well as dianne did
