  • I doubt it, the WOR-TV Editorial graphics look rather cel-animated to me.

    Now, as for the 1978 WOR ID, I recall seeing that in an Image West demo tape believe it or not.

  • You are right about that one being done by Image West.

  • Well, at least I don't have to ask the inevitable question of who's the sadist who dreamed up these scanimate logos with the station's call letters that come from out of nowhere?

  • Out of all 4, only 2 are still with PNS: WJXT and WPLG.

  • Channel 3 WFSB in Hartford used those IDs up until 1977, at which time they started "Land Of The Three" campaign.

    1974 (March specfically) was also the year Post Newsweek took over Channel 3 from The Travelers Insurance Company, and changed the call letters from WTIC to WFSB.

  • Now I knew about the WTOP version, but not the others!!!

  • OOOH! That music DEFINES awesome.

    Power to the MOOG!

  • The music track was done by Klein &. I also heard it in a (probably unaired) KDKA radio jingle campaign called "Space Station."

  • The jingles used for those are very cacthy!

  • Can I immate the music:

    *LREEWOOOSSHHH*

    * Bruplata Bruplata Bruplata Bruplata*

  • I know it sounds crazy, but this is probably on of, if not the greatest station ID ever made (and I've seen a lot!).

    The effect and graphics still looks cool after 32 years. And the music despite being only 10 seconds long, is extreme memorable and pleasant to listen to, at the same time as being original.

    I just love the deep weird base melody playing up against the ghostly, ethereal analog synth sine wave melody.
