Bravo to the residents of Vinalhaven. We are trying to build a turbine out here on Nantucket and all the same jokers who don't live here are putting a wrench in it. Good job "gittin' her done" out there. Hopefully we can get one built out here.

There are many reasons why big wind is not worth the investment and sacrifice. I helped pay for that sham in your back yard and I don't appreciate it.

It doesn't bother you... So you don't care.
Doesn't seem very windy there. How noisy are they when they are actually doing real work. That turbine has probably barely reached cut in speed.
I listened to Dr. Micheal Nissenbaum who I believe stated that 1 in 5 people have hearing that is 4 times as sensitive as that of the rest of us.
Has your grid manager scaled back any baseload power producers in response to this power being available on the grid? Bet not.
Useless then.
Also, this isn't "BIG" wind. These turbines are island owned by island residents by way of the Fox Islands Electric Cooperative. Thats right. The people who are suing over the windmills aren't suing some large corporation or power conglomorate. They are suing their neighbors. Each and every one of them. And further, they are lying about a lot of the things they are using as reasons why. One of them even lied under oath. If the cause is legit, why the need to lie about it?

My electric bill as well as that of close to 1800 other people don't care whether you appreciate it or not. We have seen real benefits in the form of lower cost electricity. The day this was filmed, it was a day that was windy enough to keep the lobster fleet from going out, so it was blowing at least 25 mph that day. As for the overly sensitive hearing, how is it that the only people on the whole island that seem to have this condition are non-natives with a lawsuit against the rest of us?
