  • what will happen if something goes wrong with the engine? is it going to be constructed to be able to opened and closed when it is needed?

  • @naruto1foru there is going to be a hinge to flip it up when access is needed, good question!

  • Just a suggestion from a school bus terminal assistant manager & previously an engineer. Add a foil on the back of the bus. Not the wings the kids use on their cars, but like they used on old station wagons. This reduces the drag / turbulence by breaking up the vacuum created by large vehicles like this... which holds them back (which takes more fuel to run at faster speeds like on field trips).

  • @HammondEggsB3 Thanks for the input, we've actually been looking into this, because there is a suction created and that pulls on the bus, thanks!

  • what will happen if it is raining or snowing though, wont visibility be made impossible because you wont have windshield wipers on the plexiglass portion of the bus?

  • there are 3 options, a retractable shield, added windshield wipers, or detachable, sorry this was not addressed in the video because the video is for the refresh everything contest and it had to be short, but great question!

  • What about buses with rear engines that have the flat fronts? Nice idea! Does anyone think that the reason why most small cars have the slanted windshields on the front is for this same reason, lol?

  • I just saw the commercial on TV and I searched it... your idea is fantastic!!! Adults are SLOW for not coming up with it.

  • yeah...let's obstruct vision with plexiglass! This idea, while addressing a valid problem, is very flawed. The proper way is to make buses more aerodynamic to begin with. Retro-fitting ANYTHING in front of the windshield will never pass state laws anywhere.

  • How do you know the research, production, implementation of the Greenshield will have a lower C02 foot print than the CO2 foot print its implementation will save?

Please include the CO2 footprints of that doll and those toy buses you used in this video.

Oh yeah btw, I think this is a load of horseshit, nice try though.

  • yay greenshields got the 25,000$ grant! congrats!

  • yea jonny!!!!!!!!!! (this is paul)
