This is preppy fountain pen made in Platinum pen co., ltd.
It looks cheap, but it has high quality. It has an iridium pen point, but it is only 200 yen.
I ink up my homemade ink in preppy.
Blueblack, Green, Melon green, Yellow, Orange and Brown.

  • The price factor is a good reason to use the Preppy with a homemade iron gall ink, as opposed to a more valuable FP. With regular water flush cleaning it should last a while.

  • Thank you for your comment!

I usually use my iron gall ink with Sailer Profit21 mat-black.

The price of the pen is 30,000 yen.

  • Thank you for your comment.

I can write with this pens, although I had not used this pens for one month.

  • @Brussells44 What a load of BS

  • Nice. But I would NEVER put iron gall in a nice fountain pen, because you can be sure it will eventually cause problems. It will eat away at the feed and can clog. Iron gall is also known to develop mold (it's a natural and expected part of the maturing process of the ink), so as a disclaimer, do not ever put anything but fountain pen ink in a fountain pen. That means no iron gall, no artists inks, no India ink, definitely no acrylics, etc.

  • @brian8793 ... well that's racists

  • Nice colours you have made good inks

. I also like preppy fountainpens - can't believe what you get for this price. It's a great pen!

  • Yes, the Platinum Converter fits.

  • how do you put your own ink into a Preppy... is there a converter?

  • Hi pgary,

nice video. You know that I also make a iron gall ink. But I do not understand you use so much different dyes. In the end all will be the same colour when the iron gallate oxidises into a deep black colour. After a few years, the dye will bleach out and all the writing will look the same: black !

  • This guy seems like a nice guy. Most Asians I meet are anyways:)

I can't wait till my Preppy pens come in the mail!

    WOOT WOOT

  • The real risk with an iron-gall is not clogging, that's more of an india ink issue.

As long as the pen is flushed and allowed to THOROUGHLY dry at least once a week, and inspected semi-regularly for corrosion, there should be no problems.

-If you don't want to take care of your pens, buy a ballpoint and use a computer. Fountain pens aren't meant to be quick, and each pen is unique-even cheap ones.

Thanks for the video, and I agree, your blue-black is to die for!
